They are produced in the region of Protected Designation of Origin Kranidi in the Peloponnese. Most of the estate’s oldest olives trees are estimated to be more than centuries old and still produce prized olives. With a south-facing aspect, the olive trees are exposed to direct sunlight and the micro-climate is warm.
The area around Kranidi consists of low hills, covered with olive groves and small forests. The town itself is about 4 km (2.5 mi) from the coast. Several villages of the municipal unit Ermionida are on the Aegean Sea coast, including Koilada, Portocheli, Ermioni and Salanti Beach.

The Olive trees in our Olive farm and in the region of Kranidi, are the Manaki variety. Manaki is the local variety grown in Kranidi for centuries. It is resistant to high altitudes, with dark color, oval shape and a distinctive sweetness. It is considered one of the most recognizable and excellent quality olives of Greece.
The Koroneiki is a variety naturally rich in phenolic compounds. Its content of phenolic compounds changes according to the maturity of the olive that goes from green, purple and finally black. We harvest them when they are still mostly green, usually in November, when the phenolic compounds content is at its highest.
On a smaller scale, the estate has Wild Olives. The wild olive tree is a seedling tree stemming from the olive fruit. It is mainly found in uncultivated areas and it is easily recognizable by the diversity of its fruit and the shape of its leaves. Its harvesting is exceptionally difficult due to the small size and sparse appearance of the fruit on the tree.
The wild olive oil, except the low acidity, is richer in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty. It also contains a higher proportion of oil protein, oleocanthal, and oleacein, polyphenols in the olive fruit that offer valuable antioxidant properties to the oil.
